Skylark
Skylark is a great bar by every stretch of the imagination. It offers a wide variety of people great food, top notch service, and great beer at low prices. The owners don't really renovate because to them it's just not necessary. In fact it's the same as it always has been. There are patrons who look like they've been on the bar stool for so long that they're permanently attached to it—and that's the kind of bar that we like.
Skylark offers a terrazzo floor, old-school bathroom fixtures, and many older school patrons. They're tons of room so you're not cramped on top of one another and it's nice because the music isn't too loud to hold a conversation which makes it nice and enjoyable.
As with almost all of Bridgeport, you're going to run into lots of hipsters an that might or might not be what you're looking for. Regardless, if you're looking for a drink then head on by.
